Tracee Stanley
Tracee Stanley, RYT has been living yoga for over 12 years. Tracee studied and practiced mainly Ashtanga Vinyasa (Power Yoga) and Kundalini Yoga until she was inspired by the philosophy of Tantra. This led her to begin studies with her beloved teacher Yogarupa Rod Stryker in the Pure Yoga® style in 2001. It is through her studies with Yogarupa that she began to understand how the quality of our energy reflects outward, affecting the quality of our daily life. She was also illuminated as to how the practice of yoga can shape and build that energy to allow us to reach our fullest potential, empowering us to live joyously and fearlessly in the everyday.
Her intermediate classes are a dynamic blend of energetic asana incorporating bandhas, pranayama, meditation, and the Universal Principles of Alignment™. Her beginner's classes bring about gentle awareness of the breath, while increasing strength and range of motion through dynamic movement and proper alignment. All of Tracee's classes are sequenced to enliven the energy that lies dormant within us and are rooted in the tradition of Tantra. In sharing her understandings of the teachings of yoga she hopes to empower her students to lead a more fulfilling life.
She humbly acknowledges John Friend who has certified her to teach Anusara-inspired yoga™, as well as Mark Whitwell, Desiree Rumbaugh and Bryan Kest with whom she has been so blessed to study.
Tracee is the co-founder of Divine Motion Yoga. She is an independent film producer having produced films such as: The Whole Nine Yards with Bruce Willis and the upcoming Jennifer Lopez film, Bordertown. As well she is co-founder and Content Director for Yogi2Go.com and leads retreats and workshops internationally with her husband and partner Everett Newell. She has been featured on CNN, appeared in Yoga Journal, Heart and Soul, and can be seen in the upcoming Yoga Journal book, Yoga as Medicine by Dr. Timothy McCall.
